First Visit Process and Appointment

What should I do at the first visit?

Please bring your copyable IDs and health insurance card, etc., and complete the reception procedures at the First Visit Desk on the 1st floor. Consultation days and hours vary depending on the department. If possible, please bring a referral letter. Otherwise, you will be charged an additional fee for treatment of patients’ choice (SENTEI RYOYOHI) , in addition to the first visit fee.

How do I make a reservation? Are they accepted by phone?

What should I do if I’m not sure which department to consult?

For Japanese speakers

If you are not in urgent situation, please call us for a consultation with a nurse on weekdays and Saturdays from 8:30 to 17:00 (0467-46-1717, main line). For urgent matters, please call us 24/7, 365 days a year (0467-46-1717, main line).

Is a referral letter necessary? Will there be additional costs if I don’t have a referral letter?

You can visit us without a referral letter. However, if you come to our hospital for your initial consultation without a referral letter from another medical institution, you will be charged an additional fee (SENTEI RYOYOHI) of 7,000 yen (including tax) for medical services, and 5,000 yen (including tax) for dental services, in addition to the regular medical fees.

What is SENTEI RYOYOHI?

The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare mandates that all patients visiting a hospital with 200 or more beds without a referral must pay an additional fee. If you are a patient without a referral document from another hospital or clinic, you will be required to pay this fee of 7,000 yen (including tax) for medical services, and 5,000 yen (including tax) for dental services at our hospital, in addition to your treatment and first-visit fees.

Can I change or cancel my reservation by phone?

For appointment changes or cancellations, please call us on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 8:00 and 19:00, or on Saturday between 8:00 and 13:00 at 050-1809-3056 (automated voice system, Japanese ONLY).

*After completing your application by phone, the hospital will contact you within three business days.
*If it is a cancellation only, the process will be completed. However, we may contact you by phone if necessary.
