Flow of Consultation
Regarding Health Insurance Cards
- Please present your health insurance card at every initial consultation.
- For ongoing treatments, ensure you submit your health insurance card at the beginning of each month.
- For hospitalized patients, present your health insurance card upon admission, during any billing processes, and upon discharge.
- Notify staff if there are any changes to your health insurance card.
- Work-related injuries or illnesses (covered under workers’ compensation) and health check-ups are not covered by health insurance.
- If your health insurance card cannot be verified, you will be charged for the full cost of treatment. However, if you provide your receipt and health insurance card by the end of the month, we will issue a refund.
Regarding Health Insurance Verification Using My Number Card
Our hospital accepts My Number Card for insurance verification. By accessing medical and pharmaceutical information, we can provide high-quality medical care. Please use your My Number Card when visiting our hospital.
How to Use Your My Number Card
Insert your My Number Card into the dedicated card reader (MyNa Touch). Confirm your identity using either facial recognition or your PIN, and your registration will be complete.

Please make your payment at the payment machine located on the first floor of Building A. - Payment Methods
The machine accepts cash as well as the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, MUFG, NICOS, DC, JCB, AMEX, Diners, and Discover.
For your convenience, an ATM is available inside the Lawson on the first floor of Building A.
Fee
Patients with a Japanese health insurance card are required to pay according to the co-payment ratio determined by calculation in accordance with the structure of the Japanese health insurance system. For patients without Japanese health insurance, our hospital charges 20 Japanese yen per medical service fee point. This follows the “Manual for Calculating Medical Expenses for Foreign Nationals, Ver. 2.4” by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, which helps medical institutions set individual medical fees for foreign patients.
Additional Fee for Outpatient Services (SENTEI RYOYOHI)
What is SENTEI RYOYOHI?
The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare mandates that all patients visiting a hospital with 200 or more beds without a referral letter must pay an additional fee (please see SENTEI RYOYOHI), If you are a patient without a referral letter from another hospital or clinic, you will be required to pay this fee in addition to your treatment and first-visit fees.

Additional Fee for Follow-up Treatment
If your condition is stable and your outpatient doctor has recommended a referral to another medical institution, but you choose to continue receiving treatment at our hospital, you will be required to pay 3,000 yen (including tax) for medical treatment or 1,900 yen (including tax) for dental treatment in addition to the regular costs.

Application for Medical Certificates and Documents

▶ At the time of application, please bring the following items:
・Identification (e.g., My Number Card)
・Original medical certificates or documents (if there is a specified form)
・Letter of proxy (if someone other than the patient is applying on their behalf)
*Any form that includes a statement authorizing the proxy to handle document procedures is acceptable.
▶ Processing Time
The processing time is approximately 1 month.
*Depending on the department and reception status, it may take more than a month.
*For certain types of documents, a follow-up visit may be required, or it may not be possible to issue the document.

Second Opinion
Our second opinion service aims to provide patients with insights and alternative treatment options from a third-party perspective. Physicians at our hospital will address questions regarding explanations and treatment plans from other medical institutions, offering valuable information and various treatment.
Cases Where a Second Opinion Can Be Provided
Patients aged 18 and over, as well as their family members, are eligible to seek a second opinion. In the case of family members, a consent form from the patient is generally required. This service is available only to those who can provide a referral letter, test results, and diagnostic imaging films from their current attending physician.
Cases Where a Second Opinion Cannot Be Provided
- Consultations requested by individuals other than the patient or their family members.
- When a consent form from the patient is not provided (for consultations by family members).
- When the patient in question is deceased.
- When the primary physician has not agreed to the consultation.
- When the necessary documents and materials for the consultation cannot be prepared.
Second Opinion Outpatient Clinic
By appointment only (within 30 or 60 minutes).
The date and time will be decided in consultation with the attending physician.
The Clinic is open from Monday to Saturday (excluding holidays).
Fees for Second Opinion Consultations
Since this is not covered by national health insurance, the full amount will be at your own expense.
- Up to 30 minutes: 11,000 yen
- 30 to 60 minutes: 22,000 yen
Please note that the time spent reviewing documents is included in the consultation time. We appreciate your understanding.
