Medical Corporation Tokushukai (Shonan Kamakura General Hospital), The Kanagawa Prefectural Government, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the U.S., and Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. signed an MoU to strengthen collaborative efforts to contribute globally in the fields of medicine and healthcare.

On February 5th, Medical Corporation Tokushukai (Shonan Kamakura General Hospital), The Kanagawa Prefectural Government, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the U.S., and Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in disseminating the advanced medical technologies, promoting the concept of ME-BYO, and fostering the development of medical human resource, and advancing research and development. These efforts are focused on contributing globally in the fields of medicine and healthcare, in the Indo-Pacific and other regions.

In order to implement this MoU, we shall consider establishing the OSU-Tokushukai Joint Clinic in Tokyo-Haneda: the International ME-BYO Center of Excellence (tentative name) in the passenger terminal of Tokyo International Airport (Haneda). In addition, we shall consider having functions within Shonan Kamakura General Hospital that will contribute to the development of medical care in Japan and the United States. Opportunities to work together in research and medical training will also be considered.
